Ah, St. Patrick’s Day—the one day of the year when we can all pretend we’re Irish and drink copious amounts of green beer. If you’ve never spent St. Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas, you’re in for a real treat, because Sin City does St. Paddy’s Day unlike anyone else. Get the scoop on everything happening throughout the city on March 17—including COVID-19 restrictions visitors need to know about—from Things To Do in Las Vegas.
Important COVID-19 Safety Information: Restrictions on public gatherings in Nevada are expected to decrease beginning on March 15, 2021. Either 250 persons or 50% of a business’s fire code capacity (whichever is less) will be allowed to gather in any area. Until this directive goes into effect, the limit on public gatherings remains at 100 people or 35% of the listed fire code capacity, whichever is less.
St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at the Fremont Street Experience

The Fremont Street Experience is one of the liveliest places to be on St. Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas, and 2021 will be no exception. According to organizers, the street mall will be open and Viva Vision (a 1,400 foot-long overhead video screen) will be “sham-rockin’”. Admission is totally free, and no tickets will be required to enjoy everything downtown Fremont has to offer.
Mask up, don your most outrageous leprechaun attire, and get ready to party all weekend long. Keep in mind that visitors to St. Patrick’s Day Weekend must be 18 years of age or older with valid ID OR be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or hotel guest after 9:00 p.m.
COVID-19 Considerations: Face coverings are required when guests are in the pedestrian mall, ticketing areas, parking garage, and other areas such as the SlotZilla Zipline. Markings will be placed around the bars and in staging lines to remind visitors of social distancing requirements.
Paddy Fest at Rí Rá Irish Pub

Celebrate the best of Irish culture, including food, drink, and music at Rí Rá Irish Pub. Highlights include live music by The Black Donnellys, Irish breakfast, and a full Irish lunch and dinner menu featuring classic dishes like fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, sausage roll bites, and deviled Scotch eggs. A full Irish whiskey list will also be available all day and well into the night. Rí Rá Irish Pub is located inside the Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas Strip.
COVID-19 Considerations: Face masks are required when guests are not seated at their table or at the bar. No floor dancing will be allowed, so keep your smooth moves in your chair. Wait staff will only be taking walk-up reservations at the door on March 17.
Downtown St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl

If you love a good pub crawl, don’t miss out on this St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl. You’ll hit up all the best bars in downtown Vegas and get access to some lucky food and drink specials along the way. You’ll begin your journey at the heart of the Fremont Street Experience, where you and your group will receive your all-important bar crawl map and wristband for VIP entrance to included venues. Don’t forget to enter the online photo contest on Facebook and Instagram for your chance to be crowned a St. Pat’s Crawl Champ. Tickets start at just $20.
COVID-19 Considerations: Event organizers will be monitoring the guidelines and recommendations from relevant agencies/authorities and notify all ticket-holders via email if anything changes. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms is advised to avoid gatherings and stay home.
Party at O’Sheas Pub

O’Sheas Pub is a boisterous Irish-style pub located inside the LINQ Hotel and Casino. Traditionally, LINQ holds a BLOQ party every St. Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas that goes the whole nine yards, including a parade, live bands, bagpipers, and more. Due to the uncertainty surrounding loosening COVID-19 restrictions, no such party has yet been scheduled for 2021.
However, a trip to O’Sheas is always a guaranteed good time. Be on the lookout for food and drink specials in addition to blackjack and roulette tables and the high-energy social environment fans have come to expect from O’Sheas. And while you’re here, you might as well enjoy a ride on the High Roller, which should be decked out in green in celebration of the holiday.
COVID-19 Considerations: Per the LINQ’s health and safety protocols, tables, chairs, and barstools will be arranged to allow for social distancing. Guests will be able to order from the bar while maintaining social distance from others. Bartenders will also provide hand sanitizer to each customer.
St. Patrick’s Day at Hennessey’s Tavern

Join the revelry at Hennessey’s Tavern on St. Patrick’s Day from breakfast until the wee hours of the morning. The day kicks off with an Irish breakfast featuring specialty items like their Famous Dublin Benedict and Capn’ Crunch French Toast from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A classic $18 Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner will also be served, along with cottage pie and Guinness-battered fish and chips. Of course, the celebration wouldn’t be complete without plenty of free-flowing Guinness and Irish whiskey. You can also catch a livestream of the Dropkick Murphy’s St. Patrick’s Day concert at 4:00 p.m.
COVID-19 Considerations: Seating is limited, but their private dining room will be open for additional capacity. No live entertainment is currently scheduled due to local mandates; however, local musicians are standing by should that change before St. Patrick’s Day.
The Celtic Kick-Off Caper at Lawry’s Prime Rib

Murder mystery party, anyone? Join this who-dunnit dinner at Lawry’s Prime Rib. This upscale steakhouse is located just east of the Las Vegas Strip and is offering a gourmet three-course meal to go with your not-so-ordinary mystery dinner. Enjoy prime rib, mashed potatoes and gravy, and Yorkshire pudding while you try to unravel the mystery of who really killed Patty O’Brien—the Mob? His attorney? His daughter? Tickets start at $115.
COVID-19 Considerations: There are a limited number of seats available for this event. Tables are available for parties of two to six people and will be spaced at least six feet apart. Guests are required to wear face masks when not seated at a table with food or drink.
St. Patrick’s Day Firefighter Parade

This free St. Patrick’s Day parade, hosted by the Las Vegas Firefighters Benefit Association along with local bar , is a downtown favorite. The parade usually starts at Fremont Street and 3rd, making its way to the 3rd Street Stage (located between The D and Four Queens), where Irish dance and bagpipe performances are held.
The parade is open to all, including families, although only those 21 years and older will be admitted into Hogs & Heifers for additional St. Paddy’s celebrations and libations. The customary challenge games will not be held this year due to COVID-19 concerns, but this event should still be a fun time for kids and adults alike.
COVID-19 Considerations: Attendees must wear a mask. Organizers are still in the process of obtaining permits and planning, so this event is subject to change or cancellation depending on local COVID-19 mandates.
St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at McMullan’s Irish Pub

McMullan’s Irish Pub is a sure bet for St. Paddy’s Day shenanigans all weekend long and on Wednesday, March 17. Located right next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino, McMullan’s is among the best Irish pubs in Las Vegas and self-named “purveyors of the perfect pint”. Enjoy live entertainment nightly from the Whiskey Fiddlers, Darby O’Gill, and John Windsor.
Be sure to also indulge in dishes like chips and gravy, Ted’s Irish Reuben with red onion relish and white cheddar, or Diddy’s hearty Irish stew. As for libations, you’ll have your choice of draught beer, import bottles, and a truly impressive whiskey menu. And if you feel you’ve got the luck of the Irish, try your hand at video poker, keno, or Shamrock Bingo.
